Vietnam’s largest hotel operator, Vinpearl, sets its eyes on Indian outbound market
Vinpearl Hotels & Resorts, part of one of the largest diversified Vietnamese business, Vingroup, which owns and operates 44 hotels and resorts with a consolidated inventory of 17,000 rooms in the country, is keen to develop India outbound travel market as one of the top five source markets for the hotel group. With connectivity between gateway cities of both India and Vietnam improving ever since Vietjet started route expansion, Vietnamese hospitality chain is looking at serious sales activation in India market with an intent to develop the market as the top five source markets along with Russia, China and Korea.
Speaking to ET Hospitality during her maiden sales visit to Delhi, Nenden Rukasah, Business Development Director – International Market, Vinpearl Hotels said that India is one of the emerging markets for Vietnam and being the largest hospitality company in the country they wanted to forge lasting partnerships with the trade and industry in India to further develop the business from India.
Vinpearl Hotels has appointed a Sales & Marketing Representative in Delhi of late and is considering a full-fledged sales office in Delhi to drive the India business.
“We have hotels in all prime destinations in Vietnam. All our hotels are big inventory hotels to serve all kinds of travel segments,” said Rukasah. “The owners of the company also have convention centres, golf courses, amusement parks and safaris as well,” she added.
She said that all their beach properties are ideal for destination weddings and those wedding planners who are tired of usual destinations can explore Vinpearl Resort properties for Destination Weddings.
“Vietnam is more affordable compared to many other resort destinations in the region,” she informed. She added that the hotel company is also “flexible in offering access to our kitchens” for Indian chefs if required by the event organisers.
“We offer local Vietnamese hospitality with international standards,” she informed. Majority of the staff at Vinpearl properties are Vietnamese but professionally trained to deliver the highest level of international hospitality.
Rukasah said that they will try to work out joint packages with Vietjet in India market. “We can even arrange charters for big groups,” she added.
